Job Title: Mobile Mechanic

Job Description

The mobile mechanic will initially work in the shop for the first 90 days before transitioning to the field with a service truck. The role involves repairing vehicles in Omaha, Lincoln, North Kansas City, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Repair vehicles in the field across Omaha, Lincoln, North Kansas City, and surrounding areas.
  • Start with in-shop training for the first 90 days before moving to a service truck.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Utilize mechanical aptitude to diagnose and fix vehicle issues.
  • Conduct engine repairs.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in engine repair.
  • Possession of own tools.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with diesel repairs is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role begins in a shop environment with approximately 15 team members. Work shifts from 6 am/7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The position offers a balance of shop-based training and independent fieldwork once transitioned to a service truck.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
