Job Overview
Marvin Roanoke is looking for a 2nd Shift Production Training Specialist.This position is responsible for assisting leadership by developing and training production associates on current and new products ensuring that all quality standards and operating procedures are being followed. Advocate continuous improvement by insuring quality assurance, safety, and productivity in all departments.
Highlights of your role
- Assist with new employee orientation training
- Assist with training new employees on new job functions
- Review and update current orientation/annual training curriculum
- Be familiar with, or become familiar with, all plant operations and tools
- Maintain up-to-date training records for cross training, quality notifications, safety, toolbox trainings, etc.
- Review safety and quality data daily while identifying training opportunities
- Review SOP’s created by engineering while filtering/changes to SOPs.
- Assist Supervisors with department employee performance by providing formative feedback
- Ensure quality standards are effectively followed and maintained
- Assist with in-process manufacturing audits.
- Work with Supervisor to create and maintain a work environment that promotes company values and surpasses goals as measured by the annual survey
- Apply critical thinking to assist the Training team solve moderately complex issues or problems
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- High School diploma/GED required
- Two years of related training experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience/training is strongly preferred
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Strong communication skills to facilitate training and the sharing of thoughts and concepts in multiple formats with diverse audiences
- Ability at problem-solving, resilient when faced with challenges, and skilled in planning and organization.
