How you create impact
You will be part of our Business Development Team, adding your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of Growth, Customer + Product Excellence
What will you be doing on a daily basis?
You will be responsible steering + leveraging the capabilities of your direct team, sales channels + our network pushing for high levels of service quality.You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives:
- To develop growth strategies + plans for your product; ultimately increasing your client base.
- To research business opportunities from various channels + viable income streams, writing business proposals + ensuring that the correct pricing + solutions are available to profitably grow the business in collaboration with our pricing team.
- To conduct regular anytime conversations with all direct reports to discuss + ensure traction on delivering performance + development goals.To support during sales calls + creating customer specific value propositions.
- To provide up to date market + pricing information to stakeholders, setting pricing bands in line with local conditions + yield targets.To conduct daily + weekly stand-up meetings with your team to identify + resolve business issues.
- To report on successes + areas needing improvement, especially for customer retention
What will it be like to lead in the business development team?
- Give your colleagues opportunities to expand their portfolios + develop new capabilities by identifying unique selling points to increase success rates in growing our product.Follow-up to provide additional feedback, guidance + continuously strengthen capabilities based on the skills matrix + personal development plans.
- Next, engage with your operations + customer care peers to ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration, drive customer retention + pursue profitable growth in your product.
- Explore innovative ideas to improve your product’s value proposition + drive its implementation to the network + commercialization of its benefits to our target markets.
- Maintain a close pulse check of the market to obtain feedback to identify + resolve challenges or areas for improvement.
- Finally, set aside time to analyze your profits + losses, growth targets + continuously deploy strategic initiatives to optimize performance.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related fields.
- In depth knowledge of Trade development,
- Min 5 years' experience in related position, with a multinational freight forwarder or ocean carriers
- Awareness of local Country Commercial situation and promote Vietnam as a key partner within the network
- Experience driving commercial results both locally and in a network-oriented company
- Entrepreneurial and Outgoing
