The Food Expo at La Serre Brasserie in Ann Arbor, MI plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience by efficiently delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests. This position acts as a vital link between the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team, maintaining clear communication to guarantee timely and accurate service. The Food Expo contributes to the overall ambiance and customer satisfaction by presenting dishes with care and attention to detail. Additionally, this role supports the restaurant team by assisting with table maintenance and responding promptly to guest needs. Ultimately, the Food Expo helps uphold the high standards of La Serre Brasserie, fostering a welcoming and professional environment for all patrons.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and order management technology.
  • Ability to multitask effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Customer service training or certification.
  • Knowledge of menu items and ingredients to assist with guest inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport food orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to the appropriate tables.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including bussing tables as needed.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas to support smooth service flow.
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests and communicate any special needs to the team.
