Overview

David Yurman is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director, of Social Media to shape the brand narrative and market presence through innovative social strategies. This position requires a leader with deep social media expertise across all social platforms (specifically focusing on Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn, and Facebook) to define the KPIs, understand deeply the social media landscape, trends, and latest platform dynamics, and craft and execute a comprehensive strategy aligned with business objectives that will deliver reach, engagement, and brand love among our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Expertise to Inform Social Channel Strategy Across DY’s Social ecosystem:

  • Leverage deep social media expertise and platform know-how to maximum our owned and paid social ecosystem across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn, and Facebook) to ensure platform specific performance.
  • Ensure we are reacting to the changing consumer engagement, social media and cultural dynamics including the rise of AI and it’s impact across the digital landscape, rising costs of paid social, and changing influencer landscape, etc.
  • Develop and articulate a clear editorial and storytelling vision aligned with David Yurman’s marketing goals.
  • Formulate and implement digital and social strategies to enhance followership, visibility, and engagement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies for content and platform innovation.

Craft & Execute Comprehensive Social Campaigns:

  • Lead owned social channel strategies and content plans
  • Implement innovative owned and paid social strategies grounded in consumer insights and brand strategy.
  • Establish an editorial structure to integrate content creation efforts across the organization.
  • Lead consumer marketing social media efforts with a focus on elevating Instagram and TikTok.
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns

Monitor & Optimize Performance:

  • Track customer feedback and industry trends.
  • Implement models for data-driven content topic validation.

Collaborate Across the Organization:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross functional team to define content pillars and messaging frameworks.
  • Ensure seamless integration with internal teams including PR, Social Creative, Paid Media, and Leadership.
  • Collaborate with Social Creative to cultivate content capabilities to produce high-quality, brand-aligned content.
  • Brief Social Creative and External Partners on all social content
  • Manage relationships with social media platforms and agency partners.

Develop a Strong High Performing Team:

  • Mentor team members across social media, communications, and content creation.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in social media and social content execution in luxury fashion/ jewelry industry.
  • Proven track record of developing successful social media campaigns
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Advanced understanding of social media and digital marketing.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dynamic team leader who not only nurtures efficient collaboration but also fosters the growth and development of team members.

Location: Tribeca, New York

Hybrid (3 days, in the office 2 Remote)

Compensation: 160k-175k
