Duties
Help
- Incumbent responsible for maintaining guest files.
- Process requests such as parking passes, key replacement and other general concierge service related requests for unaccompanied housing guests.
- Will ensure guest privacy and security measures are maintained at all times.
- Utilize property management system (eMH) to register guests and assign rooms upon check-in. Incumbent will inventory keys and other supplies or amenities maintained at front desk.
- Using the property management system may run reports as requested or needed.
- Log trouble calls and ensure appropriate department is notified. Incumbent may need to provide guests information/maps of base or local area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- The front desk operates 7 days a week/365 days a year from 6am until 10pm. First shift is 6am-2:30pm. Second shift is 1:30pm -10pm. There may be an occasional mid shift scheduled based on operating needs.

- Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required.
- This position involves work on workdays and may involve weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts, often consisting of other than normal duty hours.
- Incumbent may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, including on an emergency basis.
- Certification for front desk operations and other requirement outlined in the Lodging Career Path Guide obtained within established time frame.
- May be required to possess valid driver’s license as travel to other facilities within normal scope of duties may be required. Must have reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Six months of work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, and regulations related to hospitality operations preferred. Incumbent must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and various software programs.
- Must possess basic math and reading skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to handle, control, and account for large amounts of cash.
- Availability to work at Naval Base Kitsap Bangor and/or Bremerton locations. Must live within local commuting area.
Additional information
Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
