Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice or related field. One year of experience working with domestic violence and/or sexual assault survivors is required. Must possess a Department of Children and Families (DCF) Core Competency and Privilege thirty (30) Hours Training Certificate within 45 days of employment (continued employment is contingent upon meeting this requirement). Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver license at all times and meet the Level 2 Employment Screening standards.
This position is responsible for providing direct advocacy services to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, stalking, and human trafficking, and their dependent children who seek assistance in a county social services program. Incumbents screen cases, provide crisis counseling, conduct initial intake interviews, make referrals, provide information and complete advocacy services.
