Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. A minimum of three years of experience in the management of information technology projects to include systems design, development and/or systems analysis is required. Additional experience in the management of information technology projects to include systems design, development and/or systems analysis may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis. Applicants will be subject to an extensive screening process to include background investigation, fingerprint check and polygraph examination.

Recruitment Notes

The C&R Technical Services Coordinator is a key role within the Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation Department (MDCR). The incumbent will coordinate the delivery of information technology (IT) services within the department and act as the primary liaison between MDCR and the Information Technology Department (ITD). The role focuses on ensuring the effective delivery and compliance of IT services in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between MDCR and ITD.

This position requires an individual who can oversee IT service delivery, coordinate short- and long-term technology projects, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). The C&R Technical Services Coordinator will supervise employees, including CR - Systems Administrators, Special Project Administrators, and other MDCR staff. Responsible for approving time for subordinates, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing other typical supervisory tasks relevant to IT supervisors.
