Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Information Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in administering the Tidal Workload Automation Toolset. We are looking for an experienced, articulate professional able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with end-to-end oversight of the lower and production platforms.
Work Arrangement
- This is a 100% remote position but you must live in the EST or CST time zones
Responsibilities
- Acts as the primary point of contact for vendors related to the Tidal Workload Automation toolset and other related tools in use or under evaluation. Maintain and manage vendor relationships
- Acts as the Tidal Administrator: manages the application and oversees all updates, new releases and upgrades
- Responsible for incident management and troubleshooting, manages outages and provides updates to leadership, and responds to on call requests
- Acts as the lead solution and support specialist and serves as a Lead Technical Representative of the department
- Proposes new technical standards and develop new migration plans to the future technology infrastructure
- Proposes improvements to address performance in their area(s) of technology, develops and implements action plans needed to effect the change, providing oversight to the problem management process
- Analyzes the performance of installed technologies. Proposes and implements any required changes, including accounting for any resulting impacts on other technologies
- Will lead a team of technical contributors, providing work direction, guidance, and coaching. Will also provide technical leadership to project teams
- Communicates with clients and executive management directly to understand and explain business and technical issues, explains new technologies, and presents deliverables
- Identifies the necessary actions required to improve performance in their area(s) of technology and leads the improvement initiatives
Education and Experience
- At least ten (10)+ years administration experience with Tidal Workload Automation toolset, including Tidal Repository
- Demonstrates deep technical knowledge of multiple technologies, with an in-depth knowledge of their area of specialization, including its impact on other technologies to include cloud technologies
- Possesses thorough understanding of current and future technology architecture, ability to articulate the same during Architecture review board meetings
- Maintains an industry awareness of new developments in their area of expertise. Learns and applies new and emerging concepts very quickly
- Applies technical skills independently and acts as a technical expert in one or more areas, providing technical issue resolution and technical coaching to other staff
- Able to utilize scripting languages to automate manual or common procedures
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Advanced degrees are desirable
- Certifications are preferred (i.e. Security+, or Network+, Red Hat or Windows)
