The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division.

The Record Corrections Program Officer handles records related to corrections for birth, death, and fetal death. They oversee the day-to-day administrative duties to ensure the seamless functioning of the record corrections program. They manage all sealed files in the office, including the sealing, storing, and requesting of these files. They are proficient in a range of software programs and have experience in database management. This position involves correcting and updating crucial events. Additionally, the role involves assisting in troubleshooting various issues with the State’s database management system and providing guidance on the online amendment system. They prepare forms and security paper to county Cleark and Recorders and data providers as requested. Furthermore, the position entails direct interaction with the public, federal and state agencies, city officials, and tribal courts, including ensuring proper usage of the state database system by these entities.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

    • Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, or related field.

Additional Information

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective and July 1, 2026.

Training Assignment: This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules.
