Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Make Ready Technician to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for preparing vacant units for new residents by performing repairs, installations, and general upkeep to ensure all units meet safety and quality standards. Candidates with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and refurbish vacant units for new move-ins, ensuring all systems and fixtures are fully functional.
- Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, appliance installation, and fixture replacement.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
- Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure all work meets property standards.
- Clean and detail units including floors, walls, kitchens, and bathrooms.
- Assist with groundskeeping, preventative maintenance, and property upkeep.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply needs to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in make ready, maintenance, or facilities repair.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
