The Program Manager, Internal Communications, is responsible for managing institution-wide internal communication programs. This includes writing, editorial oversight, adherence to brand standards, and the production of daily news on MD Anderson's intranet. The role involves news and feature writing, editing, analyzing metrics, strategic planning, and logistics for Inside MD Anderson. The position requires a high level of creativity, respect for confidentiality, independent planning and decision-making, and effective problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will have website experience including writing for websites, and knowledge in metrics. Journalism experience would be beneficial in this position, as well as experience writing for a healthcare organization.

Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
Experience
Required: Six years of experience public relations, communications, writing/editing or related field. With preferred degree, four years of required experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
