Position: Trial Litigation Paralegal
Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: M-F 8-5pm
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 DOE

Description:
Our ideal candidate has experience supporting attorneys by performing routine and advanced tasks in a high-volume, complex litigation matters.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support to prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, mediation and arbitration, including assistance with electronic preparation and presentation of trial exhibits and PowerPoint presentations.
- Administers, creates and manages document databases.
- Supports document review teams.
- Provides support for extensive electronic discovery.
- Obtains and organize case materials daily.
- Prepares, organize, and maintain deposition materials and summaries.
- Working knowledge of e-filing.
- Docketing and calendaring deadlines.
- Travels nationwide as needed as part of trial team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate required.
- A minimum of 4 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation.
- Must have trial experience (full cycle).
- Must come from a large law firm or boutique firm.
- Software knowledge must include the Microsoft suite of products, FileSite or other document management systems, and DTE or other time entry systems.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to type a minimum of 70 WPM.
- Experience with Relativity, Trial Director, Outlook.pst files, Sanction, WestLaw, LexisNexis, internet searching and on-line court database systems.
- Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in grammar, proofreading, and transcription.
- Ability to work with people of all levels.
- Exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information and use good judgment while prioritizing needs of the firm.
- Ability to work overtime, after hours or on weekends, when needed.
- Ability to travel, as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects, and have strong time management skills.
