We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth team at Mercer Portugal. This role will be based in Lisbon or Porto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As an Investment and Retirement Consultant you will be an integral part of an exciting project, our responsibilities include identifying and addressing client’s needs, solving and replying to client’s queries, drafting communications, amongst other more technical and complex requests.

You will be working together with experienced consultants and project managers in all aspects of the Pension Plans & Investments areas, you will also have the opportunity to work directly with the other Wealth consultants from other countries as well as other colleagues from our Global Services Delivery teams (Actuarial and Investments teams) and Consulting Team.

We will count on you to:

  • Support the team in all Retirement and Pension consultant projects as well as Investments projects.
  • Collaborate with client and project teams.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Engage in data and analysis.
  • Produce presentations and reports.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time and to the high standards required.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Management, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • From 1 to 4 years of proven work experience in related areas.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively across different cultures and build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Proactive approach to work and a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • High level of comfort with English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

  • Actuarial pension consulting and or investment consulting related work experience.
  • Experience with direct client contact.
  • Knowledge of programming skills (such as Python and Java) and Power BI.
