Premium Audit Analyst

Location: Exton, PA (hybrid 3 days in office)

The Audit Analyst will act as a team player within the Premium Audit Department and will interact with underwriters, brokers and insureds to address questions and inquiries related to audit results.

This position is responsible for determining the accurate exposure and earned premium for auditable workers' compensation, general liability and commercial automobile policies.

What you’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Reviews policy information and insurance binders to determine audit requirements.
  • Reviews audits received from field auditors to ensure that XL, NCCI and independent state insurance bureau guidelines are followed appropriately.
  • provides quality control work received from the offshore team.
  • Navigates independent insurance bureau and NCCI websites to obtain technical audit support
  • Understands the rating and statutory coding processes and systems
  • Produces final audit statements to determine additional or return premiums due and invoices the insured or broker.
  • Responds to inquiries from customers, brokers and underwriters regarding final audit results in a timely manner.
  • Works closely with the regulatory department to ensure that insurance bureau inquiries are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Monitors vendor workloads and follows up consistently on past due audit assignments
  • Completes the rating and coding of audited exposure in Policy Decisions and WINS and provides quality control work received from the offshore team.

You will be reporting to Premium Audit Manager.

  • BA, BS or equivalent work experience
  • PAAS Training and knowledge of manual premium audit rules
  • Competency in MS Office applications: Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Outstanding math skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Some commercial lines insurance experience.
  • Premium audit experience a plus
  • Experience working with rating and coding systems, specifically Policy Decisions and Wins would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the audit process
  • Experience using NCCI and insurance bureau websites
  • Client service experience

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $53,100 – $84,000 USD.

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
