POSITION PURPOSE

Provide direct and general supervision to cage team in order to ensure facilitation of money exchanges and collections on assigned shift; ensure compliance with gaming regulations while supporting Horseshoe St. Louis vision, mission and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.

2. Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective supervision of department; adjust daily schedule according to business levels.

3. Develop, implement and monitor cage policies and procedures to ensure established guidelines comply with all internal and external regulatory directives and laws.

4. Maintain protection of extremely large amounts of currency, ensuring prevention of loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail.

5. Ensure procedures and proper controls are strictly enforced to protect assets.

6. Monitor and evaluate the activities and operations of Cage Cashiers to ensure achievement of financial, policy and regulatory objectives.

7. Maintain contact with Security and Surveillance Managers and the bank to locate variances and ensure proper handling of monies.

8. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain valid gaming license
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cage operations
  • Demonstrated understand of legal, banking and accounting issues
  • Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or related field and five years experience directly related to cashier/credit/collection operations or overall gaming operations experience with 1 year supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
