Job Title: Radiological Technologist

Division: Orthopedic Surgery

Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Location: Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX

Salary Range: $57,320 to $67,435

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking an energetic radiological technologist to provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of diagnostic radiographic equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.

This position will cover multiple Baylor Clinic locations.

Job Duties

  • Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing the patient's needs and providing patient education.
  • Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
  • Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
  • Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
  • Practices safety measures in radiography and Environment of Care.
  • Participates in research projects.
  • Instructs students and staff on clinical MRI skills.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • No experience required.
  • Certification and Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Licensure as a Medical Radiological Technologist or Limited Medical Radiological Technologist by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
