The Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis – Cost Analytics will serve as a strategic leader in advancing the organizations cost analytics and profitability reporting capabilities. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a variety of cost allocation methodologies and will be instrumental in driving enterprise-wide visibility into product level profitability and supporting data driven decisions across business lines.

About the role:

  • Lead the development and enhancement of product cost analytics frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial strategy.
  • Maintain and refine existing cost allocation models, while designing and implementing new methodologies to improve accuracy and transparency.
  • Spearhead the rollout of product-level profitability reporting across the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure adoption and consistency.
  • Design and develop new reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights into product performance.
  • Improve the granularity of financial reporting to enable more precise analysis of profitability by product, segment, and business unit.
  • Partner with Business Segment leaders to ensure reporting tools and analytics meet evolving needs.

Responsibilities

What makes you an ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a complex, multi-product organization.
  • Strong understanding of cost allocation principles, profitability modeling, and managerial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Oracle EPM, Power BI, and Databricks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Advanced coding skills (SAS, SQL, databricks)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Presentation and business writing skills

Qualifications

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in auto finance and FP&A required
  • 3+ years management and/or leadership experience required

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience required; Master’s Degree preferred

Working Conditions:

Hybrid work environment.

Strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers.

Work additional hours based on production demands requiring mandatory overtime.

Compensation: Competitive salary and bonus eligibility; this role is eligible for company vehicle program.
