Malcolm X College is currently seeking a Transition Specialist for the Adult Education Department

Reporting to an assigned administrator, the Transition Specialist guides Adult Education, ESL, GED, Continuing Education, or Career and Technical Education (CTE) students in developing educational and career pathway plans to help them make a successful transition to the next level of education or a career. This position also serves as a key liaison between students and various college departments to facilitate smooth coordination and access to resources within the college’s transition and bridge programs.

SALARY RANGE: $69,545. - $76,499.50
Offered salary will be determined by the respective collective bargaining agreement and applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Position Schedule:
9AM – 5PM
11AM – 5PM – One Day Per Week
Occasional Saturdays
Occasional Evenings
This position is represented by the Local 1600 professional union.
Chicago residency is required for all full-time employees within 6 months of hire.
