Position Start Date: January 5, 2026

Required Degree: BA, BS, BFA required, preferred in experience design, graphic design, human-computer interaction, or industrial design; Preferred degree is MS or MFA in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related research-centric degree.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: Experience with communication with college-level students and collaboration with colleagues in a collegial manner. Teaching research concepts to design students requires an efficient thinker with a unique and enthusiastic approach to helping students. Professional experience in fields relevant to user experience research.

Duties/Expectations: Teach undergraduate courses (DESPX 365 User Experience Research Methods) using department-approved curriculum. Courses include instruction in core user experience research concepts, with practical, industry-relevant assignments that build digital and physical products and interfaces. The position will require lecturing, creating assignments, grading, critiques, communicating/responding to student emails. Part-time faculty are not required to hold office hours, attend staff meetings, serve on committees, or mentor students outside of the classroom.
