The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations at the Milan 120 facility, supporting both the Packaging Solutions and IPS business units. This role oversees material handling, inventory accuracy, and performance improvement, while managing a team of supervisors across two P&Ls. The Warehouse Operations Manager plays a key role in driving operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Warehouse Operations
    • Oversee daily operations including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound materials.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Inventory Management
    • Coordinate cycle counting activities in partnership with Purchasing.
    • Ensure inventory accuracy and ERP data integrity.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and develop warehouse supervisors and frontline staff.
    • Provide training on processes, work instructions, and safety protocols.
    • Lead site-level communication and escalation management.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement
    • Establish and monitor warehouse performance metrics.
    • Review data regularly to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
    • Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Logistics, Customer Service, and Business Operations to align warehouse activities with broader business goals.
    • Support client-specific requirements and reporting needs.

Secondary Functions:

  • Participate in audits and compliance reviews.
  • Support onboarding of new employees.
  • Assist with weekend or off-shift coverage as needed (infrequent).

  • Minimal; occasional weekend shifts may be required

Job Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Forklift, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of warehouse management or equivalent leadership experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in ERP and WMS systems
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret and act on performance data
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
