Overview
The Dermatology clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team!
This position is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday; no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Some responsibilities of the LPN in dermatology include but are not limited to:
- Assist dermatologists with skin examinations, procedures, and treatments such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and laser treatments.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures by gathering medical history, vital signs, and reviewing concerns.
- Administer medications and provide wound care under physician direction.
- Educate patients on post-procedure care, skincare routines, and prescribed medications.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure cleanliness, sterilization, and organization of exam rooms and instruments.
- Assist with monitoring and management of the medical supply inventory.
- Participates in staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Responsibilities
Provides general nursing care to patients within scope of licensure.
- Utilizes the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to facilitate continuing health care to individuals, families, and community.
- Identifies common and recurring nursing needs of the patient.
- Recognizes the need for and performs routine office procedures and testing.
- Assists patients to achieve basic health care goals.
- Identifies patient education needs, providing instruction or referring appropriately.
- Assists staff in institutional quality improvement measures and office standards of practice.
- Provides telephone advice to patients per physician specific protocols; refers patients appropriately.
- Participates in staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of NH required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
