Position Summary The Senior Grading Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all grading operations on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in earthwork and site preparation, and the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage grading crews and subcontractors on-site. Develop and maintain daily work plans and schedules for grading activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan. Review and interpret engineering drawings and grading plans. Monitor progress and quality of grading work; resolve field issues promptly. Coordinate with project engineers, superintendents, and safety managers. Conduct daily pre-task planning and weekly safety meetings. Maintain accurate documentation of site activities, inspections, and testing reports. Support project close-out by compiling grading-related completion records. Qualifications Minimum 7–10 years of experience in grading and sitework supervision. Proven leadership in managing large-scale grading operations. OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Certification (current within 5 years). First Aid/CPR Certification. Strong understanding of soil types, compaction, erosion control, and grading equipment. Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Experience with GPS machine control and grading technology. Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., DOT, industrial, or municipal projects).

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
