We are on a mission to ensure Ericsson is making the best use of data as possible. Right now, we're seeking a newly graduated Data Engineer to continue our exciting journey ahead.

You will be a part of the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence team in the Production system for our Radio Unit Software sector. Our mission is to enable our production applications with data and AI. We empower people and machines with insights based on large amounts of data from development environments, labs, and Ericsson products in live customer’s networks.

The area of data and AI is constantly evolving, and you will be working with pioneering commercial and open source tools to accomplish our mission.

What you will do:

As a Data Engineer you will join a group of skilled software engineers, data engineers and data scientists. You will have the opportunity to:

• Work in a team to enable usage of data within Ericsson.
• Ensure that the data is securely ingested to the data lake.
• Prepare, transform, enrich, and improve quality of the data to make it available for consumption.
• Create our data Platform, to ensure that we have data with high quality and high availability.
• Work closely with data consumers and make sure that their specific data needs are met.
• Provide valuable and concrete insights using data and/or graphical user interfaces.

The skills you bring:

Your personal qualities are important for us, and we believe you are curious, innovative, collaborative, and have an eagerness to learn new technologies. As part of NextGen we are seeking for 1 new colleague who wish to explore their career with us, and who is newly graduated or have a maximum 2-3 years of relevant experience.

In addition, we believe you have:

• A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
• Passion for data engineering, problem-solving, and data analytics.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Understanding of containerization and infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Linux.
• Exposure to message buses (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with data storages/databases (ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, S3, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with development tools (Gitlab, Gerrit, Jira).
• Basic knowledge of observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, OpenTelemetry).
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• It is considered a plus if you have experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Argo, Jenkins), big data technologies, and cloud platforms like AWS.
• It is also a merit if you have knowledge of frontend development (Node.js, React.js), IT security, and UX/UI best practices.
