Role Summary

The Delegated Authority Analyst supports the Delegated Authority and Rokstone Underwriting teams by administering the binder lifecycle, managing delegated authority business and renewals, and assisting with tracking renewals and Endorsements. This role is ideal for individuals with prior DA experience eager to learn more about (re)insurance delegated authority in one of London’s leading MGAs. The DA Analyst will assist the team in the negotiation, construction and management of binders, monitor renewal timelines, maintain organised records, and assist in the operationalisation of newly renewed binders. Experience in Delegated Authority and a commitment to learning about the London insurance market are essential. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail will contribute to the team’s success, offering a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience and professional growth.

Role Accountabilities

  • Delegated Authority Agreement Administration
  • Assist in the negotiation, construction, review and system entry of new and renewing binding authority agreements.
  • Ensure that all activities of the binder lifecycle follow the Rokstone Delegated Authority Framework.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the DA team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes to ensure effective communication and follow-up on action items.
  • Maintain organised records of all delegated authority agreements, retrocession contracts, and renewal documents, ensuring easy access for team members

Tracking Renewals:

  • Monitor and track the renewal timelines for delegated authority agreements and reinsurance contracts, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of renewal documentation, including data collection and preliminary analysis to support the DA Apprentice and Senior DA Analyst in their presentations.

Data Management:

  • Assist in the preparation of performance reports by compiling data and generating preliminary insights for review by senior team members.

Compliance Assistance:

  • Support the team in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by maintaining up-to-date records and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and audits, ensuring all necessary information is readily available.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding administrative queries and renewal processes, ensuring effective communication and timely responses.
  • Coordinate with brokers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for renewals and endorsements, fostering strong working relationships.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the administrative and tracking functions, suggesting enhancements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to delegated authority and (re)insurance, contributing to team discussions and knowledge sharing.
  • Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • 2-3 years of DA experience in a London-based Insurance Company, Brokerage, MHA or Consultancy
  • At least 5 A-C equivalent Grade GCSE’s including English, Maths and preferably ICT.
  • A desire to gain deeper knowledge in (re)insurance concepts, particularly related to binders, delegated authorities, and retrocession contracts is encouraged.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive working relationships.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges
