Overview:

Alteryx is looking for a Partner Account Manager with strong business development and partner management experience to accelerate our Japan partner ecosystem. The objective is recruit and scale the growth of new partners and work with existing partners to extend our reach and revenues.

The candidate will have significant experience and passion in recruiting, on-boarding, developing and scaling committed capable partners in existing and new business across Japan. The successful candidate will work with the partners’ alliances, technical, marketing and field sales level individuals and ensure alignment with their counterparts.

Reporting directly to the Head of International Partners, this is a critical role within the Alteryx team and will require cross-functional leadership skills to work with Alteryx Sales, Partner, Marketing and Sales Engineering teams to drive strong engagements between the partners and Alteryx. The ideal candidate will possess a strong partner development and partner management background and leadership skills to impact and influence with a high degree of energy, flexibility and drive to create measureable results.

The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, technology, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. We are looking for candidates that are creative, aggressive and looking to expand and advance their responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to initiate and support, fresh partnership conversations, driving a plan for mutual success, driving joint GTM plan with new partners and proven ability on partner on-boarding and strong partnership development skills
  • Create and maintain strong business relationships with existing focus partners at all levels including executives, sales, marketing and operations
  • Work closely with Alteryx sales, marketing and leadership teams to align the GTM activities with partners around specific customers and territories requirements including brokering of account mapping and field-level activities
  • Develop strong and impactful relationships with the Alteryx sales team and provide them with insight into partnering strategies and best practices as well as the capabilities of partners
  • Develop expertise with existing partners’ current areas of focus and collaborate with Partner Marketing and Partner Sales Engineering teams on areas for expansion
  • Represent both the voice of the partner to Alteryx and the voice of Alteryx to the partner as required to resolve issues and attain success with the customer
  • Ability to make a notable impact within your first 90 days at Alteryx, focusing on building a strong pipeline of partner relationships that ultimately result in driving significant revenue

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in the following areas: Alliances, Business Development, Channel and/or Direct Sales, of which a minimum of 8 years must be working in partner development/partner sales in Japan
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and capable, committed and scalable partners
  • Possess strong skillset in partner management, executing activities with existing partners including developing joint business partner plans, conducting regular cadences/forecasting calls and led QBRs
  • Strategic thinker able to blend technology and business strategy to develop compelling plans for new initiatives to support partner growth
  • Strength in building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and partner constituencies including senior level executives, legal, finance, support, sales, and marketing experts
  • Possess domain expertise in data & analytics market space
  • Self-sufficient, focused leader with a drive to execute and deliver results
  • Well versed in using technology and tools to run one’s business including report & forecasting tools and dashboards
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and excellent planning and time management skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task with special attention to detail and follow-up
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively present to all levels of management
  • Ability to run quickly with little supervision and adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Bachelor's degree or other significant business experience
