Job Description

Mission

The Head of Global Retail Facilities is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Retail Facilities on a global scale. This role oversees the implementation of appropriate Retail Facilities guidelines and procedures by the regions, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations, standards, and best practices to provide a safe environment for the business, employees, and customers aligned with the best practices of luxury retail. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the Retail Facilities budget is properly managed at the regional level to monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities, while maintaining high company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global strategies for retail facilities management, focusing on optimizing operational costs and increasing efficiency.
  • Develop global guidelines and standards, including maintenance policies, safety protocols, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices.
  • Collaborate with regional Retail Facilities Managers to tailor global guidelines to local needs, ensuring consistent implementation of best practices.
  • Develop sustainability strategies to reduce the environmental impact, optimize energy consumption, and promote eco-friendly solutions aligning with Group level strategies.
  • Collaborate with Global Store Planning Dept. to assess the store concepts proposals within the maintenance demand framework
  • Oversee preventive, corrective, and extraordinary maintenance activities across different geographical regions to ensure the proper functioning of stores and their equipment.
  • Ensure that all retail facilities comply with local and international safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise the adoption of proper procedures by the regions in managing relationships with external vendors at both the global and regional levels, ensuring that maintenance, cleaning, and security services meet corporate standards.
  • Ensure that the Regions work closely with the Global Indirect Procurement Department to negotiate and manage contracts for facility services, achieving the best value for money.
  • Monitor the market, propose and implement best practices, standards and software tools to be used globally by the Brand.
  • Manage and monitor regular audits and inspections across stores to ensure compliance with facility management best practices.

Key Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in facility management, with a specific focus on international, large retail environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
  • Experience working with sustainability from a facility management perspective.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing international teams.
  • Tender and contracts management experience, including strategy development, research, and risk assessment.
  • Strong understanding of energy and environmental management.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Budget management experience with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ability to develop proactive plans and strategies.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and work under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
