Amsted Automotive, TransForm Products, Shelby Twp is looking for a second shift (3pm - 11pm +15% shift premium) Tool Crib Attendant responsible for supporting the daily purchasing, receiving and inventory crib operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team Meetings
  • Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
  • Assist with the selection of supplier base
  • Administrative duties for SAP to include entering receiving invoices, and packing lists in SAP
  • Assist UPS/FedEx and other suppliers with forklift to unload oils and Gases (load empties back)
  • Open packages and verify package content and packing list, put items on designated shelves or distribute as necessary after sorting and checking for accuracy
  • Put inventory received in CAP machines as necessary
  • Notify requisitioners of item arrival for non-stock items
  • Work with AP & Purchasing to resolve any price/ quantity discrepancies
  • Follow up on purchase orders
  • Submit requests for quotes to suppliers / vendors
  • Enter sign-out sheet to adjust the inventory in the system
  • Prepare PPE supply for upcoming shift
  • Print labels for new stock and for missing tag holder as needed
  • Notify Purchasing when nonstock items are low and write PR for reordering (PPE, oils, gases, janitorial)
  • Write PRs for blanket PO’s when existing POs are all used up. (Libra, Absorbtech , Mobil -Mini, Fine Tune)
  • Maintain crib inventory (daily cycle counts and enter difference in system to track)
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Proficient in supplier database systems
  • Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some college and/or technical trade manufacturing education is preferred
  • Experience in a fast paced, automotive purchasing manufacturing environment

WHAT ELSE YOU’LL NEED TO KNOW

  • Must be able to sustain the fast-paced demands of an automotive production environment
  • Excellent communication skills are needed for interaction with the customer and supplier base
  • Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and performing repetitive motion tasks
  • Excellent manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing office environment with continuous exposure to noise
  • Must be able to work necessary overtime if required

Education

Required

High School or better.

Preferred

Some college or better.

Experience

Preferred

2 years:

Fast-paced automotive purchasing manufacturing enviornment
