We are seeking a new team player to fill our 1st shift yard driver position available at our La Vergne TN, location Benefit Package Offered: Employee offered standard company benefit package to include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, accidental death benefits, and eligibility to participate in a safe harbor 401(k) plan.

This position maintains physical and system inventory control for all trailers and containers on premises.

Responsible to ensure best inventory control practices are consistently met and raw material inventory accuracy remains high. Directs the work of container unloading crew to ensure timely unloading of materials.

Essential Functions:

• Spotting and storage of equipment with inventory for both locations
• Thorough knowledge of active items and components
• Maintains logs for trailer inventory and containers on site with delivery and pick up dates noted for auditing.
• Creates manifests for all goods loaded on trailers. Shares with inventory and receiving teams so that accurate system inventories are maintained.
• Ensure an accurate manifest of contents is maintained in each trailer (physical copy of equipment)
• Product locations are accurate and up to date.
• Promote a safe work environment through adherence to OSHA and DOT regulations as well as company safety policies and standards.
• Ensure all employees comply with corporate policies and procedures.
• Participating in cycle counts as well as periodic inventories.
• Ensures containers are unloaded based on receipt date to ensure demurrage and storage fees are not incurred.
• The yard driver will manage the efforts of the team to meet these expectations. He/she will participate in these activities and suggest improvements to processes.
• You will meet with the purchasing and other internal teams in shipping and receiving to ensure equipment is spotted and ready to load/unload according to corporate priorities. He/she will provide feedback about inventory concerns, shortages, etc.… as discovered. He/she may be asked to participate in cycle counts or reconciliation of material usage to ensure inventory accuracy.

Requirements:

• Commercial CDL Driver’s License
• Forklift Certified (all types)
• Excellent understanding of inventory best practices.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to direct the work of others and effectively lead a team of contemporaries.
• Excellent mathematic and logic skills

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm
