Location: Saginaw MI

Contract: 6 months

Schedule: Onsite

Pay: 25-35/hr

Site Field Checker II Qualifications:

  • Must have knowledge of electric and gas line construction methods/procedures, roadway protection requirements,
  • Capabilities of tools and equipment, ability to read/understand blueprints used in line construction, and a keen sense of and ability to identify and mitigate safety hazards on the jobsite prior to the crew arriving to perform work.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficiency in uploading/downloading files from remote locations via wireless connectivity will also be required.

  • The successful candidate must be dependable with good time management skills and ability to organize/prioritize workload to meet a schedule.
  • They must also possess excellent communication skills and be a team player.
  • Education: High School Diploma

Site Field Checker II Responsibilities:

This role is primarily out in the field 5 days per week. Candidates will be required to have a reliable vehicle and will be reimbursed for their mileage per mile. Areas of coverage for this role will include Saginaw, Midland, Alma, Bad Axe, Cadillac, and Bay City. We would prefer candidates that are sourced from the Bay City, Saginaw, and Midland area since the majority of work will be in that area.

Site Field Checkers will receive basic safety gear: hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest...etc. Workers will need to provide their own leather work boots.

This position will perform site readiness reviews prior to construction: site accessible, to grade, both customer & public facilities located/staked, trench path available, forestry complete, obstructions in area, customer conduits installed & marked/pull strings, traffic control requirements, identify/verify primary/secondary voltages, identify special equip needs, switching order required, materials delivered, electric meter mounted in designed location/correct height & inspected, gas meter location marked, does an outage need to be coordinated along with other miscellaneous site observations.
