We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join the steel fabrication and erection team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding various types of metals, primarily steel and stainless steel, and possess the ability to interpret blueprints and work from shop drawings. This role involves both in-shop fabrication and on-site erection work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on structural steel, sheet metal, and stainless steel components.
- Fabricate metal components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Assemble, install, and secure steel structures at job sites, including beams, columns, trusses, and frames.
- Operate power tools, grinders, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure welds meet required codes and standards.
- Assist in the layout, cutting, and fitting of materials prior to welding and erection.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with project managers, fitters, and other welders to meet production deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
