General Summary

RGA SEA and Hong Kong Underwriting & Claims’ team is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, smart candidate for supporting UW and claims operations based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on a full-time basis. If you are passionate about servicing clients and running efficient operations, then this role could an exciting opportunity for you.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Case setup:

  • Assist in efficient set-up of new Individual and/or Group life coverage (underwriting and claim referral cases) into RGA systems as per laid down process and agreed timelines.
  • Allocating the referrals to Underwriters / claim adjudicators on daily basis according to their authorities and availability.
  • Review and verify basic information provided on life / health insurance applications and supporting documents.
  • Conduct capacity check for cases.

UW/Claims operations:

  • Prepare and handle various kinds of monthly/quarterly UW reports, dashboards, assist in preparing project status updates/ reports, MS Power point slide deck etc.
  • Coordinate, manage and communicate with other RGA teams like administration and / or RGA’s clients to reconcile any received cessions / statements, confirm placement details, clarify, and resolve statement or placement discrepancies etc.
  • Update various internal records within the department.

Communication:

  • Manage internal and external queries and access requests for RGA’s Underwriting guidelines portal.

Logistics and other ad hoc tasks:

  • Assist / co-ordinate for arranging logistics for internal meetings, client workshops, seminars, webinars etc.
  • Assist team or manager for ad hoc projects including system testing (UAT) etc.
  • Assist on other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the team/manager.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks and challenges.
  • Background in biochemistry, which will be beneficial in understanding complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Open to consider fresh graduate applicants
