JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in the design, development, and implementation of student services programs that facilitate the accomplishment of department goals and objectives. Serves as primary registration coordinator for the department. Performs other duties as assigned (e.g., supporting departmental events).

JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Registration Coordination: Coordinates and manages course schedule development and input of the schedule into the University's scheduling system. Activities include adding/changing sections, changing capacities, adding instructors, adjusting or locating rooms, and setting meeting times. Responsible for meeting registration coordination deadlines.

20% - Essential - Registration Support: Assists in resolving registration problems including overrides, requesting a closed course, and registration errors. Interfaces with registration services to ensure all University rules and regulations are met. Attend registration coordinator meetings. Supports student record management, maintains program schedule, and communicates and reports on program outcomes.

20% - Essential - Programming and Technology Support: Responsible for software/policy implementations in student services office. Maintains undergrad and grad Canvas pages, outward facing student services web pages, and provides info for social media/screens. Provides triage for undergraduate and graduate email inbox. Attends relevant meetings and serves as liaison for the department.

10% - Essential - Academic Progress: Advises and counsels students on academic progress. Advises and counsels students on University and departmental policies, engagement opportunities, and personal development. Identifies student issues and refers students to other campus resources as needed. Serves as a key resource to faculty and administrative officers regarding student information and policies. Update and maintain advising assignments for faculty.

10% - Essential - Service: Supports graduate admissions in the department with application logistics, processing updates, and bulk emails. Liaison to school - pulls graduation lists for graduation ceremony, collects photographs for graduation slide deck. Supports the department ABET Committee with data and analytics from student services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree - Experience in student services programs.

Work Experience - 1+ years

Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

15% - Stand for prolonged period

70% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period

15% - Walk or move about

90% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself

20% - Move, transport, raise or lower

50% - Perceive, observe, clarity of vision

WORKING CONDITIONS:

5% - Overnight Travel

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hours: 37.5

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected Salary Range $ 39,764.00 - $ 51,500.00

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
