Product Costing Lead EMEA

Role Overview:

We are setting up our Product Costing Team in our Huntsman GBS Hub in Krakow. That’s why we are looking for an experienced Product Costing Lead to join our dynamic team and help drive smarter decisions through insightful cost analysis and inventory control. We are looking for people who are eager to take part in the transition of such an important area in Finance.

As Product Costing Lead, you’ll manage the service delivery for the biggest division within Accounting, driving excellence in cost control, inventory valuation, and compliance across multiple platforms. You’ll be the strategic link between operations, finance, and leadership. Product costing is a critical process that involves calculating the total costs associated with producing a product, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.

Role Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Coaching

  • Coordinate, coach, and motivate Product Costing Analysts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Product Costing Operations

  • Oversee monthly Product Costing runs and ensure accurate reporting of production variances, purchase price differences, and inventory revaluations.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for Product Costing
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, statutory, and fiscal requirements.

Controls & Compliance

  • Maintain and improve internal controls in line with SOX requirements.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external auditors to ensure clean audit outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the focal point for business and local management discussions.
  • Translate business needs into actionable Product Costing strategies.

Reporting & Optimization

  • Lead monthly reporting cycles and drive process improvements.
  • File proposals to enhance system efficiency and data accuracy.

Experience and Competencies:

What we are looking for:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Min.3 years of experience in a similar role in Product Costing, ideally within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Advanced SAP skills (FI, CO, COPA),
  • Knowledge of SAP (MM, SD) is a benefit.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and regions.
  • Strong analytical mindset with hands-on problem-solving ability.
  • Collaborative approach and can-do mindset, with a passion for team coaching and cross-functional cooperation.
  • Service-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support to internal stakeholders.
