Master Thesis: AI-Driven Supply Chain Planning

Ericsson

Join our Team

About this opportunity:

Are you ready to design an AI-powered decision support co-pilot that transforms investment, capacity, and inventory planning in dynamic product supply chains? This master’s thesis focuses on developing an LLM-powered, lifecycle-aware co-pilot that analyses product lifecycle data—spanning introduction, growth, maturity, and decline—to provide actionable, optimized recommendations for telecom and manufacturing supply chains.

By combining Large Language Models (LLMs), optimization techniques, and digital twin simulations, this project will explore how AI agents can converse with decision-makers, simulate scenarios, and connect recommendations to tangible business metrics

What you will do:

  • Integrate product lifecycle data with AI-driven investment, capacity, and inventory models
  • Develop optimization routines and digital twin simulations for scenario testing
  • Fine-tune or prompt-engineer LLMs for domain-specific supply chain tasks
  • Handle both structured and unstructured supply chain data for modelling and decision support
  • Build and test a conversational AI co-pilot capable of interacting with business users
  • Validate results by running real-world product lifecycle scenarios in a telecom supply chain context

The skills you bring:

  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, PyTorch/TensorFlow, OR-tools, SimPy)
  • Skills in operations research, linear/nonlinear optimization, or mathematical programming
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Ability to fine-tune or prompt-engineer models for domain-specific tasks
  • Handling structured/unstructured data relevant to supply chains
  • Curiosity and problem-solving mindset
  • Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI for building AI co-pilots
  • Knowledge of BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau) to visualize results
