We are looking for someone with commercial instincts and business acumen. This is a high-impact role: you’ll take ownership of a strong existing portfolio while driving business development with a real “hunter” mindset.

You will work with top-quality silica sands and specialty materials trusted by major players in construction, while also contributing to innovative projects aimed at CO₂ emissions reduction. You will frame and implement sales tactics to maintain strong customer relationships, drive growth within existing accounts, and identify new opportunities—whether through new clients or innovative applications.

Sales Manager North Italy

Sibelco is a global material solutions company. We mine, process and sell industrial minerals at locations worldwide, focused primarily on silica, clays, felspathic and olivine. Location:

Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Piedmont and Veneto are regions at a reasonable commuting distance to get our HQ office sited Milan when needed or to any other office Sibelco office in the area, considering that we are also used to Smart Working when not travelling to visit customers.

The Sales Manager will be responsible to achieve maximum profitable growth & sales objectives in line with Sibelco’s vision and strategic objectives in all North Italy. The Sales Manager will be responsible to identify new sales opportunities, commercialize new products and understanding the market and building the necessary market intelligence to retaining as well as extending the Customer portfolio.

In the role of Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Being accountable for the sales of Sibelco group products and achieving maximum profitable growth and sales objectives (volume, Net Sales, and Gross Margin) in line with Sibelco’s vision, strategic objectives & policies in Italy
  • Visiting customers and potential customers, identifying new sales opportunities to achieve the highest value, commercialize new products and develop sales into new applications
  • Building up the necessary market intelligence by developing a thorough understanding of the market, including customer needs, competitors, trends, impact of local legislation to retain and extend the Customer portfolio.
  • Develop and achieve budgeted sales targets year after year
  • Set prices and payment terms in line with Sibelco’s pricing and payment structures for the region and achieve the end financial targets, receivables as well as payment terms
  • Partner together with Operations & Supply Chain with on time information to schedule the activities for the short/medium/long term period

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Business or Marketing
  • 5-10 years’ experience in sales role, ideally in mineral industry or related industry
  • Proven track record of gaining and maintaining lasting customer relationships
  • Experience selling a technical product portfolio is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities & work independently as well as contribute to the broader team
  • Self-drive: High-energy, creative & resourceful self-starter a pragmatic problem solver
  • Results-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of accountability as well commitment
  • Full proficiency in Italian as well as English
