About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on (Junior) Technical Product Owner to join our Back/Middle Office team. This role combines classic product ownership responsibilities with direct operational engagement: monitoring critical services, responding to alerts, investigating issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
- Product Ownership
- Work closely with developers to define requirements, prioritise backlog, and ensure features align with trading and operations needs.
- Translate technical constraints (e.g., exchange APIs, failover mechanisms) into clear product stories.
- Document product workflows, edge cases, business requirements and monitoring practices.
- Cross-team Collaboration
- Liaise with trading, operations, and treasury teams to understand requirements and pain points.
- Work with engineering to resolve issues and improve resiliency.
- Communicate incidents, root causes, and fixes clearly across stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance & Testing
- Act as embedded QA for Sigma tools: test new releases, verify bug fixes, and run sanity checks on live systems.
- React to system alerts, investigate anomalies, and coordinate fixes.
- Identify and fill gaps in missing data (balances, trades, transfers).
- Develop checklists and automated tests to catch regressions before production.

- Curious problem solver who enjoys digging into system errors and following the “rabbit hole” until the root cause is found.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and documentation skills.
- Ability to juggle operational urgency (incident handling) with structured product delivery.
- Technical Background
- Understanding of APIs and data structures.
- Comfortable with SQL, Python, and dashboards (Grafana/Prometheus).
- Basic familiarity with trading or financial systems (crypto a plus).
- Experience
- Previous product owner, business analyst, or ops/engineering hybrid role welcome.
- Prior exposure to QA, support engineering, or technical operations is highly valued.
- Knowledge of crypto exchange mechanics (spot, futures, transfers) is a plus.
