Context:
Within S&EM, the Risk Expertise Center’s (EC Risk) purpose is to, on one hand, advise and help the Business Platforms in optimizing their activities making sure it respects all the rules and limits, and on the other hand, to manage, monitor and control the risks that S&EM facing globally in its commercial and energy management activities.
Operating within S&EM, the Engie Global Markets entity (EGM) plays a pivotal role delivering risk management services for Engie Business Units, developing its own commercial franchise and providing a centralized access to the Commodity Market for other S&EM entities. As such, it is operating under a regulated framework and is regularly audited by ACPR (French prudential supervisory authority).
In the context of its re-organization and following the conclusion of the latest ACPR Audit, a new Market Risk team has been created within the EC Risk with the general objectives to strengthen governance and processes around EGM together with allocating the appropriate level of resources to comply with regulated standards
Within the EC Risk, the EGM Market Risk Team is dedicated to the monitoring of EGM activities ensuring the compliance with regulated standards. The team is in charge of:
