The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one (1) full-time position in the class of Assistant Road Maintenance Worker OR Road Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Division of the Community Services Department.
Position Details
The candidate selected for this position may be hired as an Assistant Road Maintenance Worker OR an a Road Maintenance Worker, based on experience, and at the discretion of the appointing authority. The salary range for each classification level are as follows:
The ideal candidate for this position is a dependable self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This candidate can follow written and verbal instructions and act as a positive, contributing member of the team. They possess knowledge and experience in the methods, practices, and materials used in road construction and maintenance, and in operation of related equipment. This candidate has the ability to safely perform in all weather conditions. Possession of a Class A Commercial Drivers License and knowledge and experience of road striping and tree trimming are preferred.

Were you hired into a CalPERS or other public agency reciprocal system for the first time on or before January 1, 2013? If so, you most likely have "Classic" member status. Classic members of CalPERS (or CalPERS reciprocal) agencies who come to work for Yolo County will remain Classic members!
"Classic" member CalPERS retirement formulas are:

Safety: 3.0% at 55
Deputy Sheriff Safety: 3.0% at 50
"New" member CalPERS retirement formulas (for employees hired into a CalPERS agency for the first time after January 1, 2013) are:
