Senior Actuarial Analyst

Chubb is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Capital Modeling Team. This role is part of the Model Development & Reporting team within the Risk Modeling Unit (RMU), which manages Chubb’s internal capital model and reports on internal and regulatory capital requirements for key subsidiaries. The ideal candidate should have strong technical and communication skills, enjoy teamwork, and be able to work independently. This position offers opportunities to collaborate with Chubb management and actuaries across regions and products, while also developing technical, process management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make improvements and be an active participant in the model run cycles.
  • Participate in reviews of internal capital for key subsidiaries with Chubb Management
  • Analyze key risks within the organization (i.e. Catastrophe Risk, Market Risk, Reserve Risk, etc.)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, and underwriting, to provide insights and recommendations based on capital modeling results.
  • Communicate complex modeling results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement capital models to assess the financial strength and risk profile of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Near ACAS, actively pursuing actuarial designations.
  • 3-5 years of experience in actuarial roles (capital modeling, risk management, or financial analysis is a plus).
  • Must have excellent excel skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and technical skills with ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, VBA) or have a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
