The firm offers a collaborative environment where paralegals play a key role in high-profile transactions. This position provides flexibility with a hybrid work schedule across multiple offices.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join the team supporting complex commercial real estate deals, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development projects, and joint ventures. The role involves performing thorough due diligence, preparing and reviewing legal documents, and working closely with attorneys, clients, and third-party service providers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience mentoring less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed title, survey, and zoning reviews and prepare comprehensive summaries, abstracts, and related documents for real estate transactions.
• Guide attorneys and clients on title insurance, survey standards, and local zoning requirements.
• Collaborate with title companies, surveyors, and zoning consultants to negotiate and finalize diligence documentation.
• Identify potential issues during due diligence and assist attorneys in developing solutions.
• Review transaction documents to ensure proper formatting and compliance for recording.
• Track post-closing obligations related to title, survey, and zoning, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Assist closing paralegals with assembling final binders and transaction deliverables.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior paralegals and attorneys on due diligence procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate due diligence (experience in large law firms preferred).
• Expertise in reviewing title, survey, and zoning matters for commercial properties.
• Experience with both financing and acquisition transactions strongly preferred.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience negotiating with external partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

Additional Details:

• Hybrid work schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-office.
• No travel required.
• Reports to the NJ team administrator; supportive and communicative supervisor.
• No direct reports.
