JOB SUMMARY:

• Supports Cancer Center and Clinical Managers as requested with special projects, operational needs, and growth strategies.
• Manages program operations and clinical requests from cancer center providers and Mayo.
• Supports physicians and staff with all clinical outreach activities including research.
• Responsible for planning monthly Cancer Conferences/Tumor Boards.
• Assists the Director and VP to implement the strategic goals for the cancer program.
• Oversight of the hospital cancer registry and data analytics.
• Responsible for compliance and oversight for Commission on Cancer Accreditation and other certifications subsequently obtained.
• Serves as the quality coordinator in planning and implementing performance improvement activities.
• Responsible for maintaining and monitoring quality metrics aligned with the programs goals and associated metrics tracked by payors.

MANDATORY LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

The following licenses/certifications are required (if checked):

CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Certification/license:

Additional licensure/credential requirements: Bachelor of Science required with at least 5 years’ experience in a healthcare setting. Experience in oncology preferred.

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Mandatory Annual Education: Confidentiality and HIPAA Corporate Compliance Fall Prevention PPD

SUPERVISES: 0 – 10 people. A supervisor is responsible for direction of associates' workflow, conducting performance appraisals, and has hiring and termination decision-making abilities.

CAREGIVER STATUS: Not a Caregiver. A Caregiver is an employee who provides direct patient care, hands-on care, or has skin-to-skin contact with patients.
