Position Specifics
- Location: Charter Wire – 7850 N. 81st Street, Milwaukee, WI 53222
- Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday–Friday
What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a dedicated production team, drive operational excellence, and ensure customer expectations are met with quality and efficiency.
- Lead and support your team to meet production goals for quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Promote safety, teamwork, open communication, and employee engagement.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance reviews to support employee growth.
- Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Partner with other departments and shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Environmental, Quality, and Safety standards.
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of related industry experience, or equivalent education/experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience (or supervisor training).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, coach, and follow up effectively.
- Team-oriented with experience collaborating cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated, accountable, and organized with a sense of urgency.
Nice to Have’s
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Metallurgy, or related field.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
