Job Description:
Specialty Pharmacist – Oncology Outpatient Clinic Join our team as a Specialty Pharmacist focused on oral chemotherapy. You'll work closely with oncology providers, infusion center staff, and nursing to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated cancer care.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and counsel patients on oral oncology medications.
Collaborate with infusion/oncology pharmacists to ensure continuity of care.
Educate patients on medication adherence, side effects, and safe handling.
Support compliance with specialty pharmacy accreditation standards.
Participate in clinical reviews, care planning, and quality improvement.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy -OR- Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy).
Preferred Education: Oncology pharmacy experience, completion of PGY1 residency.
Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida -OR- Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer.
Required Experience: One year Pharmacist/intern experience.
Preferred Experience: Oncology pharmacy experience, completion of PGY1 residency.
Necessary skills: Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products. Fine motor coordination and manual dexterity. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills. Supervision of technician employees.
Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees.
