Overview
We’re seeking a Manager: Cloud & Network Engineering Lead to design, build, and manage cloud and network infrastructure that underpins the enterprise’s digital platforms and services. This role ensures high availability, scalability, and security of infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while aligning with enterprise engineering and security standards. The Manager provides strategic leadership for cloud transformation, networking, and connectivity, bridging infrastructure with application engineering.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the cloud and network engineering strategy and roadmap.
- Champion the move to cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures.
- Partner with enterprise engineering, security, and product leaders to ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and compliance.
- Lead modernization initiatives: software-defined networking (SDN), edge computing, zero trust networking, and cloud automation.
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee design and management of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments across public and private clouds.
- Govern infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) adoption.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience across infrastructure services.
- Optimize cloud usage, costs, and performance through FinOps practices.
Network Engineering & Operations
- Lead the design and management of enterprise networks (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers).
- Ensure secure, high-performance connectivity across data centers, branches, cloud, and edge locations.
- Drive adoption of next-generation networking technologies (5G, SDN, API-driven networking).
- Oversee monitoring, observability, and incident management for network performance.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Partner with security teams to implement network and cloud security controls (zero trust, IAM, encryption, segmentation).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection standards across infrastructure and networks.
- Manage risk assessments, penetration tests, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Establish standards for access management, logging, and auditing.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop cloud engineers, network engineers, and infrastructure specialists.
- Foster a culture of automation, resilience, and continuous learning.
- Build talent pipelines for emerging cloud and network skills.
- Drive cross-team collaboration between DevOps, security, and software engineering.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, etc.).
- Oversee contracts, service agreements, and vendor performance for cloud and networking services.
- Represent cloud & network engineering in executive technology forums, architecture boards, and governance committees.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, or related technical discipline (mandatory).
- Postgraduate qualification (MSc in IT/Networking/Cloud, MBA) – advantageous.
- Professional Certifications (preferred/required): AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect; Cisco CCNP/CCIE, VMware NSX, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper certifications; Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible; CISSP, CISM, or cloud security specialist certifications.
Experience
- 8–12 years’ experience in cloud and network engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in cloud migration, hybrid cloud operations, and enterprise-scale networking.
- Strong background in network security, zero trust architectures, and cloud security frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network observability tools.
- Track record of implementing infrastructure automation and cost optimization.
- Experience managing mission-critical infrastructure in regulated industries (banking, fintech, telecom, healthcare).
