An elite global Law Firm that serves leading companies, financial institutions, and governments worldwide in helping clients resolve complex legal challenges is looking for a a Managing Clerk to join its Managing Attorney/Clerk's Office
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily department operations and ensure efficient, accurate completion of tasks, including regular check-ins with staff.
- Oversee docketing and calendaring systems, ensuring deadlines, court appearances, and case data are properly recorded and communicated.
- Ensure compliance with court procedures, advise on state and federal filing practices, and coordinate legal services with external vendors.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff, including hiring recommendations, performance management, and development of training programs.
- Maintain relationships with court personnel and vendors, acting as liaison to facilitate filings, document retrieval, and service of process.
- Collaborate with leadership (Managing Attorney, General Counsel, COO) on risk mitigation, software troubleshooting, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a Managing Attorney’s/Clerk’s office at a large law firm, with strong supervisory and litigation workflow expertise.
- Expert knowledge of court rules and e-filing systems, including CM/ECF, PACER, and various state platforms.
- Proficient in docketing and case management tools like CourtAlert, Milana, and Compulaw, plus familiarity with third-party legal vendors.
- Skilled in legal research and data retrieval, with high accuracy and attention to detail across all work activities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a flexible, resourceful approach to managing competing deadlines.
Compensation: $170,000 - $200,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
