Java Drools/BRMS with AWS

Akkodis is seeking a Java Drools/BRMS with AWS for a contract with a client in Westlake Village, CA / Plano, TX. The candidate will be responsible for building and deploying enterprise applications, while managing rule-based systems and cloud-based environments.

Rate Range: $49/hour to 53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Drools/BRMS with AWS job responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Drools/Red Hat BRMS, and JBoss.
  • Implement and manage business rules using Drools or similar rule engines to support dynamic decision-making.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services and tools.
  • Write and execute unit tests using JUnit and follow BDD/TDD practices to ensure code quality.
  • Manage code repositories and builds using Git and Maven in a Linux development environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, responding to user-reported problems and ensuring system stability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years in Java development, including 5+ years working with Drools/Red Hat BRMS.
  • Strong experience in developing and deploying cloud-based applications using AWS.
  • Proficiency in working within Linux environments and using tools like Git, Maven, and VS Code.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
