Jason’s Deli: Customer Service Representative

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Position Purpose:

The office staff conducts routine office duties, phone calls, help answer and route phone calls, ten-key calculations, data entry, invoice and working with basic office equipment.

Major Responsibilities:

Customer Service (80%)

1. Answer incoming phone calls.

2. Communicate over the phone with various customers, vendors, brokers, and Salespersons.

3. Work with Jason deli restaurant managers to resolve product concerns or needs.

4. Investigate missing and damaged product claims to determine validity.

5. Issue store credits to customers based on product investigation.

Miscellaneous (20%)

1. Basic data entry responsibilities.

2. Complete monthly accuracy reports.

3. Light typing and mail duties such as distribution of mail and preparing mail for pick up.

4. Assist other departments with assigned tasks and responsibilities as needed.

5. File documents in appropriate files.

6. Coordinating ordering and stocking of office supplies.

Decision-Making

Direct decision making is required on how to take appropriate action to resolve customer complaints.

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must be the age of 21 or over and have a minimum of 1 year’s warehouse experience.
• Must be forklift certified or have the ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Must be willing to subject to pre-employment and random drug testing as a prerequisite of employment, because of the exposure to heavy equipment.
• Excellent organizational, time-management and communication skills.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Google docs.
• The ability to work well with others.

3. The ability to use equipment including multi-line phone system, fax machines, copy machines, calculators, and computers.

4. The ability to stay focused on long tedious tasks.

7. The ability to understand and to follow directions.

8. Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.

9. General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Google docs preferred.

10. The ability to work well with others.
