As a leading provider of legal services to the defendant motor insurance market, we handle a broad spectrum of claims from outsourced, pre-litigation, and non-injury matters to complex, multi-track personal injury cases.

The Role

This exciting new role at Clyde & Co offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Litigation Executive looking for a varied and flexible opportunity. This role would suit someone who thrives in a dynamic environment. Working across multiple teams within the practice, you will be contributing to a wide variety of high-value cases, gaining diverse, hands-on experience.

This role offers a unique combination of autonomy, variety, and professional growth whilst helping our teams meet the evolving needs of their clients.

Alongside strong case-handling capabilities, we are looking for someone who is highly adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable shifting between different teams, to meet client needs. You’ll play a key role in supporting critical casework where your legal skills, strategic thinking, and ability to quickly build relationships will make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 65 files at any given time.
• Handle all procedural aspects of litigation, from issue through to trial.
• Draft a full range of pleadings with accuracy and attention to detail
• Accurately value personal injury claims using JC Guidelines and relevant case law.
• Assess and quantify claims for special damages.
• Negotiate settlements effectively, using well-reasoned and persuasive arguments.
• Demonstrate strong telephone negotiation skills to drive resolution.
• Prepare witness statements for court proceedings via telephone or video call.
• Attend conferences with counsel as required.
• Conduct your own telephone advocacy where appropriate.
• Liaise professionally with key stakeholders including claimant solicitors, counsel, courts, brokers, policyholders, and insurer clients.
• Utilise strong organisational skills to manage workload efficiently using a case management system.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all Management Information (MI) requirements.
• Adhere to client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding reporting and case updates.
