JOB SUMMARY:
Certified Pharmacy Technician is primarily responsible for performing routine tasks which may include inventory management, the filling of patient-specific or unit-specific medication orders, sterile compounding, troubleshooting pharmacy equipment and technology, notification of pharmacists or pharmacy leadership of any issues, particularly any with the potential for compromising patient safety . The Certified Pharmacy Technician participates in departmental quality measures, process improvements, and documentation efforts. The Certified Pharmacy Technician assists in capturing charges and credits for medications. The certified technician assists pharmacy leadership, pharmacists or other health professionals in meeting the needs of patients.
